Natural Mattresses

Our natural mattresses are made with three ingredients: latex, cotton and wool. The latex begins as sap tapped from the Hevea brasiliensis rubber tree, native to the Amazon rainforest, then foamed into Talalay cores and wrapped in a quilted cotton and wool cover.

Before you buy a mattress in Burbank or Phoenix, compare what is inside and outside. Most mattresses sold today contain zero percent natural materials. Ours are hand-made one at a time.

Organic Mattresses

Organic mattresses start life as a seed that grows into a rubber tree. No insecticides or fertilizers are used, and the latex is foamed into certified organic cores. Our organic latex carries the GOLS label, a minimum of 95% organic latex inside, and our textiles meet GOTS, the Global Organic Textile Standard.

Organic latex also comes in Super Firm, as close to "hard as the floor" as a mattress gets, for sleepers who need the firmest support in the industry.

Latexpedic is a division of Electropedic Beds, started in 1964 by Henry Kraus with his sons Lloyd and Philip. The third generation, Zachary, Paul, Ryan and Sasha, works alongside them today. We build our mattresses the old-fashioned way: reversible, quilted on both sides, with handles, so they last twenty years and more. Other makers only honor a warranty after a 1" to 1.5" indentation. Ours has no such clause.
